Authorization of Construction Planning in Hungary received
Munich, 17.06.2003
The Secretary of State in the Bavarian Home Office, Hermann Regensberger (M. P.), in the presence of the Hungarian Consul-General in Munich, H.E. Mrs. Maria Baranyi Professor Karl Kling (Ph. D. Eng.) and numerous Guests of Honour presented Dipl. Eng. Stefan Steinbacher of Neusäß with the Certificate for unrestricted Authorization of Construction Planning in Hungary.

The basis for the occasion was the signing of an agreement between the Bavarian Chamber of Construction Engineers and their Hungarian counterpart on 02.12.2002 which reciprocally recognised the rules of admission and pursuit of the profession.

Secretary of State Hermann Regensberger praised Steinbachers engagement in Hungary, saying his success was a living example of what middle class businessman can achieve in Europe when they raise their sights above National borders and look to the new member countries of the EU.

The fact that Dipl. Eng. Steinbacher is the first, and to date, only engineer in all of Europe to receive this unrestricted Hungarian Authorization demonstrates the depth of european consciousness of the Bavarian engineers.

The Chamber President Professor Karl Kling (Ph. D. Eng.), also congratulated Steinbachers great success in the name of the Bavarian Chamber of Construction Engineers. The President of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers Dr. Eng. Gabor Kovats presented Prof. Kling with the Certificate in Budapest on 9 Mai, on the occasion of the Chambers 80th Birthday, requesting that the Certificate be presented to Steinbacher.

On 02.12.2002 Bavarian Chamber of Construction Engineers and the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers entered into a European-wide unique agreement. It lays down the conditions for recognition of the rules of admission to, and qualifications necessary for the pursuit of the profession by Bavarian engineers in Hungary and Hungarian engineers in Bavaria. Similar agreements exist also between the Bavarian Chamber of Construction Engineers and the Chamber of Engineers in the Czech and Slovak Republics, Slovenia, Poland, the Ukraine, Italy and Austria.
