Land management

Land management is the thorough analysis of possibilities for using land resources in an ecological and economic way. It is a suitable instrument for developing land, the meaningful exploitation of contaminated soil, i.e. fallow land, for reducing the need to seal surfaces in order to meet demands for land and for reintegrating land into the economic cycle in the spirit of sustainable development of urban areas and regions. Land management does not end at municipal, district or national borders: it requires intercommunal thinking and cooperation among all concerned.
