Hydrographical surveysG
Stagnant and flowing bodies of water are surveyed and mapped by walking through them or crossing them by boat. Echo sounders (ADCP) or terrestrial laser scanners have become indispensable tools in addition to survey rods.
Well over 20.000 profiles or structural units of bodies of water are on file in a register (GISFluss) and digitally processed as needed. Profiles of water bodies also serve as inventory and calculation basis for a variety of assignments. Apart from a numeric approach to questions of hydraulics or freshwater ecology, inventory situations can be documented and changes can be controlled.
