Laser scanning

With laser scanning the surface contours of bodies, rooms, buildings and planes are recorded digitally by means of laser technology. In the process so-called scatter plots are created which present themselves as highly accurate, true 3D measurement coordinates.

The scatter plots are transferred to 3D software for processing the data. During post-processing the raw data is formatted and mathematical information (volume and distance calculation) is evaluated. Depending on the application and the customer’s wishes the raw data can be used immediately (e.g. for the calculation of volumes).

Laser scanning is excellently suited for the following disciplines:

•    Documentation of industrial plants
•    Recording inventory in architecture
•    Basic surveying for the preservation of monuments and historic buildings
•    Dynamic deformation measurement
•    Topographies for urban and landscape planning
•    Digital 3D models of cities
•    Illustration of supply and disposal infrastructures
•    Archaeology
•    Quantity surveying and much more.
