Air travel is the fastest means of connecting passenger as well as goods traffic. To this end, the entire environment of an airport has to be synchronized as well to facilitate a smooth flow of the different means of transport (rail/road – plane).

Therefore a multitude of planning tasks have to be dealt with at the airport, ranging from traffic infrastructure and civil engineering structures to the planning and coordination of sectors as well as landscape management.
