Spaces to be oneselfThey fulfil leisure and recreational functions and usually have various ecological and economic tasks as well. Apart from their effect on shaping a city they also serve as filters and buffers and take on the regeneration and habitat functions of our daily environment. General public spaces like parks, piazzas, living streets, outdoor swimming pools, schoolyards or freely accessible bodies of water have to be multifunctional and adjusted to diverse groups of users. Private planning of space is usually found in construction plans and the consolidation of development sites and serves the needs of a personal system of free spaces.
