Hydraulic engineering

Hydraulic engineering includes varied areas of design engineering which aims at the utilization of or the protection against water. Apart from flood protection, water management, the utilization of hydropower (see separate pages) as well as sanitary environmental engineering we also deal with agricultural hydraulic engineering, namely irrigation and drainage technology and protective constructions against erosion.
